Here we read a parable concerning the kingdom of God. This refers to those who by grace have come to put their trust in the LORD Jesus Christ. This in turn is pointing to salvation. Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said in Acts 4 :
"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:10-12).
Salvation is in the LORD Jesus Christ; not only is that clear but it is so wonderful as well! Thankfully, today is still another day for those who have not yet found Christ to humbly cry to Him for mercy. He alone is so far lovely beyond imagination. Beloved, there is a treaure, namely Jesus, give ear to His words:
"He says, "AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"-- " (2 Corinthians 6:2) nas.
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. " (Matthew 13:44).
