Today we look at a proverb that relates to the eternal future of our souls. The first half of the proverb tells us that the wicked earn deceptive wages. Wages are something one works for, therefore this points to the fact that the wicked must suffer the penalty for their unpaid sins. In Romans 6 we read:
"But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:22,23).
The second part of todays parable offers much more hope. Here we read that those who sow in righteousness will be given their true reward. Those who sow in righteousness are the true Children of God and their reward is eternal life in Heaven with the LORD Jesus Christ in the highest bliss.
