Here we read a proverb that speaks of the omnipresence of God. God sees and knows all things; everything has been preordained according to His good will. Some may think that there are deeds done in secret; but this is not true, spiritually there is no such thing as privacy. This teaching is found throughout the Bible; note that in 2 Chronicles we read:
"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars." (2 Chronicles16:9).
God knows the very number of the hairs on our head, the number of steps we take during our lifetime and the exact number of grains of sand on every beach. God's power and knowledge are infinite, His ways far beyond human comprehension. Because of this we should always thank, praise, honor and approach Him with fear. Job declared:
"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars." (Job 31:4).
