Proverbs 16:20

"He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.".

Today we look at a proverb that describes the manner of life of the upright. When Christ by divine providence saves an individual they will seek the truth of His words and apply them to their lives through Him. No greater good can an individual find than salvation. This will be evidenced in an ongoing desire to do God's will and a strong trust in Him:

"O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him." (Psalm 34:3-9).

Dear Reader - how important is it to trust our LORD at all times? It is infinitely important! Let your trust grow in leaps and bounds through His Word and in turn let this be evidenced by your love flowing like a mountain stream with the cold, pure refreshing water of the Word. As the clock strikes, I will end with a dynamic statement recorded by the prophet Jeremiah:

"Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit." (Jeremiah 17:5-8).
